Recent Donations and General Announcement!

During the last week of classes at Fisher College (May 2-6), HELP worked with the Common Good Club to host a donation drive. This gave students another outlet versus throwing away items they did not need when moving out. Donations included clothing, food, and books. We saw countless rotations of new boxes and bins because they were filling up so quickly. The food and clothing that were donated will be utilized by HELP specifically but the books on the other hand will be sent to “More Than Words” (a local bookstore).

Here is a photo of some of the donations from the beginning of this month.

An act like donating a can of food or an old book can seem small and insignificant but knowing that there is someone who will appreciate that assistance makes it worth it every time. If not to give at least necessities, H.E.L.P. aims to show that everyone matters. Regardless of money or the status of housing an individual has - they deserve to be here.

The team will begin the process of sorting through the donations of this successful drive by mid June. If anyone is curious about the process, or interested in volunteering, we can be reached via email at ops@helpbyamg.org or call/ text (617) 202- 8729. Once the inquiry is received on our end, we will send individuals a volunteer request form (which will only take a few minutes to fill out). Donations will be available to those who need it the most. Extra clothing items of high quality will be sold at the IRS donation at market value; 100%of the proceeds will assist with funding our current community projects.

Attire for Change is our community closet project. The donations are open to all that suffer from poverty at any level, including homelessness. At HELP we are dedicated to helping everyone live prosperously. Currently, the only clothing donations that we are accepting is for children. We still are accepting all other donations that are not related to clothing. If anyone is interested in receiving clothing assistance, we can be emailed at assist@helpbyamg.org or call/text (617) 202-8729. Once we receive the inquiry, we will send the assistance request form that must be completed; it will only take a few minutes to complete.
